Mark Degler, District XII
Mark Degler and his wife farm in Mattoon, growing corn and soybeans on their centennial farm. Though the farm was established in 1872, Degler started farming the ground in 1974 following his educational career at Southern Illinois University.
Degler enjoys traveling and sports cars when he has time away from the farm.
When asked why he wants to serve as the District XII Director for the Illinois Corn Growers Association, Degler responded, “It’s all about the membership – I’m here to give a voice, to get members involved, to speak for the members, I believe it’s all about the members and how they make our organization stronger.”
