ICGA Directors

Dan Cole, District IX

Dan Cole farms in Plainville, IL with his wife.  He grows corn and soybeans and has farmed since 1993.  Dan has invested in conservation on his farm, having been no-till (no tillage – this is a means of preventing soil erosion and reducing inputs) which his father began in 1989, long before it was a common practice.  Dan and his wife, Mary, have two married children.

Dan spends all of his free time as a Director on the Illinois Corn Growers Association Board.  He feels this commitment is well-worth his time because of the broader world view he has obtained from his involvement with the organization and because of the chance to meet and learn from other Illinois farmers.
