Ken Hartman » District XIV - Grassroots Committee Chairman

Ken Hartman

Ken lives in Monroe County where he farms corn, soybeans, and wheat. He is a 5th generation farmer and has been farming his whole life. Ken operates a family farm that used to be a dairy farm but is now just a grain farm. He also has his real estate license.

Ken lives with his wife, Anita and their three daughters, Amanda, Alexis, and Ashley. Amanda is a freshmen in college, Alexis is 16 years old and is very involved in FFA, and Ashley is 13 years old and is going into 8th grade. Ken went to a tech school for computer science in St. Louis and then worked for a bank for about six months, before returning to the farm.

Ken went to Waterloo High School and in his spare time he enjoys boating and skiing.
