ICMB Directors

Kent Kleinschmidt, District VIII

A long time leader in the corn industry, Kent Kleinschmidt currently serves on the Illinois Corn Marketing Board after also serving his tenure on the Illinois Corn Growers Association Board and as President of ICGA in 1993.  He grows corn and soybeans in rotation in Tazewell County.

Kent, like many other Illinois farmers, has become an environmental steward, performing minimal tillage on his acres to prevent soil erosion and runoff.  He has been farming with his family for more than 36 years.

Kent’s grandfather immigrated to the US from Germany as a teenager and retired from the same farm that Kent’s son still lives on today.

Kent and his wife Sara have two sons and four grandchildren and enjoy golfing and traveling when they can spare time away from the farm.
