Petitions are available from local University of Illinois Extension offices or from the Department of Agriculture. BLOOMINGTON, Ill.—The Illinois Corn Marketing Board is seeking applicants for three summer internship positions, and the Illinois Corn Growers Association is seeking applicants for one position. The three ICMB positions include an Education Specialist to administer training to teachers in the Ag-in-the-Classroom Summer Institute Program, and two Communications internships. The Corn Checkoff has donated $20,000 to assist with the “Farm to Market” gallery. The “Farm to Market” gallery will give kids a hand on experience seeing how food comes to their kitchen table. For Immediate ReleaseContact: Tricia Braid 309-827-0912 BLOOMINGTON, Ill – Kent Kleinschmidt, a grain and livestock farmer from Emden, Illinois, has been elected Chairman of the Illinois Corn Marketing Board (ICMB) for 2012-2013. The Logan county corn producer has served on the board for six years. Kleinschmidt currently represents corn farmers in District 8 which is comprised of Fulton, Peoria, Tazewell, Mason, Cass, Menard and Logan counties. Kleinschmidt replaces Bill Christ of Metamora.
