Where will the anticipated record-breaking crop of corn go this year? That's the important question. Basic economics tells us that with an increased supply, to maintain or improve price, the market must maintain or grow demand. That's what IL Corn is doing since your profitability as corn farmers is our bottom line.

Whether it's working on building corn ethanol demand, finding new export markets, researching the costs and impacts of new regulations or improving the relationship between farmers and consumers, the Illinois Corn Marketing Board is there. By investing your corn checkoff dollars in valuable programs, ICMB supports those things that support you.

Building ethanol demand is one of the opportunities that could offer the quickest turnaround. Using higher ethanol blends is the best option now as we've run into the E10 blend wall. Have you filled up with flex fuel lately? You Grow It, You Should Use It.

E15 is also an option. Nearly a dozen E15 pumps are now operating in Illinois with more expected to come online by the end of the year. There are nearly 250 pumps in Illinois now offering higher blends.

NASCAR, backed by the American Ethanol announcement, proves the power and performance of ethanol every day. In fact, by the end of July, NASCAR will have logged 6 million miles running on E15.
