In this audio update from IL Corn, Business and Technology Development Director Dave Loos gives us an update on the research work underway in three national laboratories to demonstrate the role corn ethanol can play in providing octane in gasoline. The U.S. domestic ethanol market for regular gasoline is stymied thanks to the E10 blend wall and falling domestic fuel usage. As auto manufacturers are designing more fuel efficient engines, they can gain the benefits of corn ethanol as an oxygenate. That will provide more domestic market opportunity for your IL Corn.
