In this audio update, U.S. Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth, representing Illinois’ 8th Congressional District, spoke last week at a biofuels briefing in Washington, DC, hosted by the Environmental and Energy Study Institute. The briefing was supported by the Illinois Corn. In her prepared comments, Congresswoman Duckworth called both the EPA and the Obama Administration to task for their treatment of the Renewable Fuel Standard. It was just on May 29th that the USEPA released their RVO numbers…the target for the number of gallons of ethanol to be blended into our nations fuel supply under the RFS. Duckworth said she, like many of her colleagues, was disappointed in those numbers.
