The 2015 Illinois Beef Association Summer Meeting is concluded last week after a series of meetings and tours in Bloomington, IL.  IL Corn is proud to host beef farmers in McLean County and to participate in the summer meeting in a couple of important ways.

IL Corn Marketing Board sponsored the IBA Banquet held Wednesday night at the Parke Hotel in Normal.  ICMB Director Tom Mueller, himself a cattle, corn and soybean farmer from Taylor Ridge, represented IL Corn.

“We are so excited about the partnership between IL Corn and IL Beef.  We look forward to many more opportunities to work with our very important corn and DDGS customers,” Tom said.

On Friday, beef farmers had the opportunity to visit the Normal, IL Corn Crib for a CornBelter’s game.  In fact, anyone at the game on Friday night celebrated “Beef Night,” featuring fun activities and fun facts about beef and cattle farmers in the state.

IL Corn supports their cattle farmer customers in other important ways as well.  Late last month, IL Corn and IL Beef joined the US Meat Export Federation summer meeting where Illinois farmers learned about efforts to export more red meat overseas, increasing the value of meat and #2 yellow corn.
