Three #360corn videos are now available at www.watchusgrow.org/corn to help non-farmers understand planting, caring for, and harvesting a corn crop in Illinois.

The videos utilize the latest 360-degree technology, enabling the viewer to see all around the farm, to give them a virtual on-farm experience.

Justin Durdan, Utica farmer and Illinois Corn Grower Association Vice President, is featured in the videos.  Durdan has a passion not only for new technology (drones, GPS, field monitoring, variable rate technology) but also for sharing his multigenerational farm story with others.

“Our farm’s been in the family for a long time and that’s a lot of why I farm, but personally, I want to be a part of helping feed and fuel the country and the world,” said Durdan.  He looks forward to sharing this desire to be a part of something bigger than himself with the #360corn audience.

The available videos help non-farmers understand planning a crop, show planting, explain “precision agriculture”, detail spraying and fertilizing, describe crop scouting, and much more.  Future videos will share harvest and crop marketing.

Check them out at www.watchusgrow.org/corn today!
