Register now for your opportunity to attend the free, “Maximizing Yield while Optimizing ROI: Randy Dowdy Shows How,” seminar. Randy Dowdy, U.S. record yield breaker for corn and soybeans, is leading the free seminar in Bloomington, Ill., Jan. 20, hosted by the Illinois Soybean Association checkoff program and sponsored by the Illinois Corn Growers Association, FS InVISION™ and FS HiSOY®. Dowdy is the 2016 national soybean yield record holder at 171.8 bushels per acre, and in 2014 was the national corn yield record holder at 504 bushels. In 2016, Dowdy placed first in the no-till/strip-till irrigated corn category with 521 bushels per acre.

The seminar will be held at the Parke Regency Hotel & Conference Center in Bloomington and will run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., with lunch to be included. Growers will have the opportunity to talk with Dowdy and ask questions about approaches he takes to increase yield on his operation.

During the seminar, Dowdy will focus on return on investment for trying new practices. As a farmer, he realized that one of the hardest things to do is to change, adapt and be willing to try new things that lead to success.
