ILLINOIS CORN CROP 54% GOOD TO EXCELLENT

Just over half of the Illinois corn crop was rated good or excellent according to this week’s USDA crop progress report.
Illinois’ good and excellent crops were below the national good and excellent percentage of 62 percent and well below the five year national average of good and excellent crops for this week.
The report showed Illinois with 41% of the corn crop dented and 91% in the dough stage.
