 On July 12, 2018, the Soil Health Partnership, Macon County SWCD, Piatt County SWCD, and NRCS are co-sponsoring a Strip-Till Field Day that includes live field demos. The all-day event will feature leading growers and experts from around the Midwest including:

  • Mark Hanna, “Getting the Most From Your Strip-Till Equipment”  Mark is a registered professional ag engineer working in tillage, planting, and other farm machinery topics after a career at Iowa State University.  Hanna will discuss adjustment and operation of strip tillage implements and effects on soil loosening, fertilizer placement, and soil preparation for planting in the seed zone.
