COMMODITY CLASSIC FEATURED ON CORN CORPS BLOG

Mar 05, 2012  |  Today's News

How are you reaching out to the non-farm audience? Here at the IL Corn offices, one thing we’re doing on your behalf is entering the “blogosphere” with posts on Corn Corps. Check out today’s post which talks about Commodity Classic. It’s an appropriate discussion for the non-farm audience.

The Gaylord Opryland Hotel was at 97% occupancy during the Commodity Classic, for which 6,003 people had registered. Overheard more than once by those staying at the hotel for other reasons was the question, “Why are so many farmers here?” Check out the blog post for the answer.

What questions are you hearing every day about what you do on the farm? And how are you answering them? The Corn Corps is one way we’re reaching out. The work Illinois Farm Families is another. The IL Corn membership has said that public outreach and education is an area of need on which the organization should be focused. Are you also focused in that area?
