Two weeks ago, the Lamoreux Family was named the 2015 Illinois Farm Family of the Year, presented by Burrus Hybrids and Illinois AgriNews.  IL Corn couldn’t be more proud of Lou’s accomplishments and the example his family sets for Illinois agriculture.

Lou was Chairman of the Illinois Corn Marketing Board in 2014-15 and has served on both the Illinois Corn Marketing Board (current) and the Illinois Corn Growers Association throughout his tenure in ag leadership. 

The family was featured in a large scale ad campaign in Washington, DC through the Corn Farmers Coalition in 2012.  The campaign sought to give corn farmers a face with DC decision makers who had probably never met a farmer in their lives. 

Lou is both good friend and great example.  He is thoughtful, intentional, always willing to lend a hand, and always willing to share a laugh.  His address to the Illinois Corn Growers Association at their annual meeting will likely live in infamy.
