Leveraging the investment in the NASCAR American Ethanol program, IL Corn was able to bring the story of ethanol’s high-performance characteristics to the Fox Business News Network. In a series of live reports from the Chicagoland Speedway, ethanol and corn took center-stage. Illinois corn farmer and ICGA President Paul Taylor was on-hand to share the story.

Fox Business was interested in the NASCAR angle. After all, why would farmers team-up with the most-watched professional sport in America? Well that’s easy. Because NASCAR race cars are among the most demanding vehicles and expect fantastic fuel performance. Corn-based ethanol has powered these vehicles now for over 4 million miles, courtesy of American Ethanol, a program supported by Illinois corn checkoff dollars.
