Early delivery price premiums have attracted the interest of many corn growers who are being invited to a July 25^th conference in Decatur to focus on the early harvest, as well as preserving the quality of grain stored in farm bins.  Specialists from the University of Illinois, Purdue, and Iowa State are among speakers who will present a wide range of issues from combine adjustments, potential grain molds, and evaluating early price premiums versus storage options. 

Strategies for cooling and drying grain to preserve its quality will be discussed along with new technologies in monitoring grain in the bin.  All of those topics will be discussed in general sessions to be held at the Decatur Conference Center and Hotel from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A pair of special break-out sessions will start the conference; with combine specialists from John Deere and Case-IH presenting tips on adjustments that might be made for higher moisture corn being harvested to capture the early delivery premium.
