Kenny Wallace, NASCAR driver, pumped E-85 for motorists today in Joliet, a pre-race promotion to bring attention to Family Farmers, ethanol and the NASCAR race at the Chicagoland Speedway September 16-18.

Wallace was on hand to advocate on behalf of farmers and educate motorists about the many benefits of ethanol. He autographed copies of the new brochure available from Illinois Corn called, “Exposing Five Common Myths About Ethanol.”

The American Lung Association of Illinois supported the event, as well, providing information and answering questions regarding the clean air and health benefits of choosing an ethanol blend of fuel.

Dave Johns, Jr., (pictured with Wallace) stopped by to fill up his vehicle with E-85. Johns said, “Being flex-fuel is the reason I bought this truck, and I’ve used E-85 ever since. It burns better and cleaner and I think it’s the best thing they ever made.”

“I just wish there were more places in Illinois where you could buy it,” Johns continued.
