Although few of us had ever heard of West, Texas, prior to this week, we might all know of the long-term impacts of such an accident. In this audio update with Jean Payne, President of the Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association, you’ll hear more about the regulations regarding fertilizer storage. 

Accidents such as this can cause problems down the road for the fertilizer industry and for the agriculture industry in general. A quick google search will bring to light the public distrust of such facilities, the fear of accidents, and disbelief that synthetic fertilizers are necessary.
