After 26 years of service to corn farmers in Illinois, Ann Hodgson retires today.

Currently the Illinois Corn Growers Association/Illinois Corn Marketing Board Office Manager, Ann leaves behind a legacy of dedication, determination, and positive attitude to generations of corn farmer leaders and beneficiaries of the organizations.

“We thank Ann for her work over the past 26 years, shepherding many farmers through the work of the organization and attempting to keep us on track, organized, and always where we needed to be. Her tasks over the years have been difficult, but she has always approached us with a smile and eagerness to help,” said Kent Kleinschmidt, Illinois Corn Marketing Board Chairman.

“Ann’s a tremendous benefit to our organization and will be missed,” said Paul Taylor, Illinois Corn Growers Association President. “She has accomplished so much over the years and should take credit for keeping us technologically up to date and making sure that all of our requests were met in a timely fashion. Her friendship and camaraderie will be a loss.”

Hodgson’s responsibilities to the organizations were to maintain ICGA/ICMB minutes and records, organize and make arrangements for board meetings, maintain the office equipment and leases, update office technology including servers, computers, internet and phone systems, support the industrial committees for both boards, complete all Political Action Committee reporting, and many more.

Hodgson looks forward to a long retirement in Bloomington-Normal with her daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren. She anticipates hours of reading, remaining active in her church, and watching her grandkids’ sports events.
