The Safe Grain Handling Courses being offered at the Agricenter in Bloomington, Illinois are set for the remainder of the year and registration is open.  We are now able to provide quality hands-on grain handling safety training in a high caliber facility.

Those who have attended have provided overwhelmingly positive feedback.  In fact, some companies have even sent or are scheduled to send ALL of their employees through the two-day course!  Not sure you want to make that level of commitment?  Well just send the one who is in charge of safety for your company or at your facility and let them be the judge.  We are very confident that they will agree the training provided by John Lee, Director, Safety-Health-Environmental Services Program, Grain and Feed Association of Illinois is top notch and the facility is second to none.

Two courses are being offered. They are a one-dayWelcome to the Grain Industry” course and a two-daySafe Grain Handling Operations” course.

The “Welcome to the Grain Industry” course is a basic one-day course geared to employees needing the basics of safety in the grain industry and will cover OSHA’s Grain Handling Standard along with demonstrations and scenarios designed to reinforce the message of safety. • July 9
  • November 12

The “Safe Grain Handling Operations” course will be presented over a two-day period and immerses the participant in an environment that is as close to real as possible.  This is an intermediate course designed for employees wanting to get more in-depth knowledge about the rules, regulations and requirements related to safety at a grain handling facility.  The course uses a variety of demonstrations, equipment and scenarios to increase the participant’s existing knowledge.  This course engages the participant to apply their knowledge and skills to find safe, acceptable and workable solutions.  For additional information click here.  Dates are scheduled for the remainder of the year as follows:
