The Illinois Corn Marketing Board is seeking applicants for three summer internship positions, and the Illinois Corn Growers Association is seeking applicants for one position. Please pass along this information to anyone that you feel would benefit from a summer-long experience at the IL Corn office.

The Illinois Corn Marketing Board, using checkoff dollars, and the Illinois Corn Growers Association feel it is important to support the professional development of college-aged youth that are interested in agriculture. It is both board’s desire that any intern participating in this program will leave with valuable experience, along with a genuine desire to serve the industry in their future career work.

Details about the internships can be found online at www.ilcorn.org. The three ICMB positions include an Education Specialist to administer training to teachers in the Ag-in-the-Classroom Summer Institute Program, and two Communications internships. One of the Communications internships will focus on technical production of videos and graphics while assisting in social media. The other will focus on issues management, scripting video, and social media. ICGA is seeking applicants to fill a legislative internship position.

Qualified applicants must be Illinois residents, have a driver’s license, and enrolled full time in a college undergraduate or graduate degree program. Other skills and preferred qualifications are listed online at the Illinois Corn website.

Applications for the three ICMB internships are due February 14, 2014. The ICGA legislative internship application is due March 14, 2014.
