Illinois Corn Growers Association and Illinois Corn Marketing Board are joining Illinois Farm Families in inviting people to attend the May 1 private screening of the new film, "Farmland." The intended audience for the private screening in Chicago are non-farm influentials, such as media, chefs, mommy-bloggers, and legislators. However, a few Illinois farmers will take a break from spring planting and chores to spend the evening in downtown Chicago for the premier of the "Farmland" documentary.

From Academy Award-winning director James Moll, "Farmland" goes behind the scenes with young farmers from across the country to see how they are changing the world of agriculture.

Immediately following the screening, there will be a short panel discussion featuring Illinois farmers Eldon and Sandy Gould, Maple Park; Deb Moore, Roseville; and Katie Pratt, Dixon.
