ICGA ELECTS NEW OFFICERS, BOARD MEMBERS

Jeff Jarboe, a farmer from Loda, has been elected president of the Illinois Corn Growers Association (ICGA) for 2015-2016, at their re-organizational meeting Nov. 24, 2
014 at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Normal.

Jarboe has served on the ICGA board for six years, most recently as Vice President. As District 6 Director he represents corn farmers in Champaign, Ford, Iroquois, and Vermillion Counties.

Joining Jarboe in leadership roles are Vice President, Justin Durdan of Utica, Treasurer Marty Marr of Jacksonville and Secretary Jerry Singley of Stanford.  Elected to lead the Exports Committee were: Chairman, Ted Mottaz of Elmwood; and Vice Chairman, Glenna Taylor of Oakland.  Elected to serve on the Industrial Committee were: Chairman, Aron Carlson of Winnebago; and Vice Chairman, Randy DeSutter of Woodhull. Elected to serve on the Grassroots Committee were: Chairman, Kenny Hartman of Waterloo; and Vice Chairman Bill Leigh of Minonk.

Newly elected to serve on the state board are:

At Large Director - David Green, Lawrenceville, interlocking Director with the Illinois Farm Bureau.

Re-elected to serve as Directors on the state board are:

District 3 – Randy DeSutter of Woodhull representing farmers in Henderson, Henry, Knox, Mercer, Rock Island, and Warren Counties.

District 6 – Jeff Jarboe of Loda representing farmers in Champaign, Ford, Iroquois, and Vermillion Counties.

District 9 – Andy Bartlow of Macomb representing farmers in Adams, Brown, Hancock, McDonough, Pike, and Schuylar Counties.

District 12 – Glenna Taylor of Oakland representing farmers in Clark, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, and Jasper Counties.

District 15 – Joe Murphy of Harrisburg representing farmers in Randolph, Perry, Jackson, Franklin, Williamson, Hamilton, Saline, Gallatin, Union, Johnson, Pope, Hardin, Alexander, Pulaski and Massac Counties.

At Large Directors re-elected are:  Grant Noland of Blue Mound, and Gary Hudson of Hindsboro.

The ICGA board - which coordinates and conducts market development, legislative, and public relations programs to benefit corn producers - consists of 15 directors representing specific districts and three at-large directors.
