IL CORN EXPERTS, PROJECTS FEATURED AT JUNE 26 MEETING
The Illinois Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy calls for a 45% reduction in nitrogen loss from our fields by 2045, with an interim goal of 25% reduced loss in nitrogen by 2025. If it makes sense on your farm, one of the most effective ways to reduce N loss is to use a cover crop system. Find out more about how to use cover crops as a best management practice this coming Tuesday, June 26th, at the Schertz Aerial Service annual grower meeting. Dr. Laura Gentry of the IL Corn staff is among the presenters, along with Drs. Joel Gruver and Gary Schnitkey, university professors with whom we work.
