DICAMBA TRAINING ON THURSDAY; FEWER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE FUTURE
Farmers who are certified private applicators and who intend to apply dicamba to soybeans in 2019 must have proof of a dicamba training prior to making a dicamba application.
Please register for the free dicamba label training session on Thursday, November 29 at 3 pm at the Wyndham City Centre in Springfield.
Illinois Department of Agriculture will require all users of these products to adhere to all label requirements including completion of a training program that utilizes training materials developed by the registrants of the products, namely Monsanto, BASF or DuPont. At this point, training will be offered only in a classroom setting. The registrants are working with the Department and with agribusiness and farm organizations to make instructors available to train applicators and venues throughout the state, utilizing the registrant's training materials.
Fewer training events will exist this year.
The Springfield area is a very large Xtend adoption area of the state and this is the only private applicator clinic this year in the area.
Those who participate in the entire training class will receive a certification of completion that can be utilized as proof of training for recordkeeping purposes.
The only other scheduled training sessions at this time are on December 4 in Utica, IL and December 11 in Champaign, IL.
