For generations, Illinois farmers have cared for more than just their crops. They’ve cared for the land, the water and the wildlife that share it. Now, IL Corn is launching its Monarch Program to help protect one of the Midwest’s most recognizable species - the monarch butterfly. Through the program, any IL Corn Growers Association (ICGA) member can receive free milkweed seed simply by contacting the IL Corn office . There’s no cost and no complicated process. Members just need to reach out to the team to request seed by April 30, and IL Corn will mail it directly to Illinois farmers.
