Evan Marr

My name is Evan Marr, and I am a fourth-generation farmer. I attended Parkland College, majoring in Precision Agriculture Technology and Agriculture Business. I am a 2017 graduate of the ALOT program and the 2020 Farm Credit Directors Cup recipient.

I farm alongside my family, managing our day-to-day operations, internal data, and crop management. In addition, I own and operate two businesses: Marr Transport, a small trucking company, and Elite Ag Sales, a seed and equipment business. I also raise a cow-calf herd and sell hay to cattle feeders in our region.

Our farm practices minimal till and strip-till approaches across all our land, incorporating cover crops when appropriate. We grow corn and soybeans and strive to be the best stewards of the land—not only for ourselves but also for the landowners we work with.

I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Cass-Morgan Farm Bureau and have been actively involved with the local Young Leaders group for over a decade. Additionally, I’ve participated in the Member Advisory Council for Farm Credit of Illinois and have been a proud member of the Illinois Corn Growers Association for many years.

I understand the responsibilities and commitment these roles require and am dedicated to supporting farmers in any way I can. IL Corn has done tremendous work opening new market opportunities and advocating for Illinois farmers. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my experiences and passion for agriculture through this position.
