Greg Goodwin is the Director of Precision Conservation Management (PCM), a program of IL Corn, and oversees the program administration and its operations. In this role, Greg helps address challenges farmers face with adoption of in-field conservation practices, to help scale best management practice adoption.
Prior to his role at PCM, Greg held positions at the US Geological Survey, IL Water Science Center and as a consultant at Waterborne Environmental Inc., where he utilized state-of-the-art environmental data collection techniques to help farmers, regulatory agencies and other ag industry professionals understand how different ag management practices impact the environment.
Greg is a published author of multiple peer-reviewed papers related to the environmental fate and mitigation of ag nutrient and pesticide losses from ag lands.
He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Engineering focused on soil and water resources from the University of Illinois and grew up on a small family-owned corn and soybean farm in Crawford County, IL. He lives in Champaign, IL with his wife Kristin and two children.
