As part of our continued commitment to help farmers manage risk, protect soil health, and stretch every dollar in a tight year, the IL Corn Growers Association (ICGA) is proud to continue the Cover Crop Coupon Program in partnership with seed companies across the state.

What’s New for 2025?

This year, ICGA members can save up to $200 on qualifying cover crop seed purchased from any of our participating partners. Whether you’re planting cereal rye ahead of soybeans or diversifying mixes for soil structure, this coupon is a simple way to lower costs while strengthening your soil.

Farmers are taking advantage of this program! So far:

  • 101 farmers have activated their coupon
  • 38,000 acres are enrolled
  • That’s 10,000 more acres than last year — a strong signal that Illinois farmers continue to lead on soil stewardship

A Farmer’s Perspective

“The cover crop coupon takes some of the sting out of trying something new,” said Clint Gorden, farmer from central Illinois. “It gives you a little breathing room to experiment, improve your soil, and see the benefits for yourself without all the upfront cost.”

Don’t Miss Your Discount

The Cover Crop Coupon is open through December 31, 2025, but activating early ensures you get the savings locked in for your seed purchase.
