Two at-large positions on the Illinois Corn Growers Association Board of Directors are elected each year at their annual meeting.

In order to run as an at-large director, the bylaws require that an interested candidate indicate their intent in one of two ways:

  1. appear at a scheduled board meeting in August (August 23-24 at the ICGA office in Bloomington) OR,
  2. file a petition with 25 signatures of current ICGA members in their district (membership list available upon request).

Petitions can be obtained from the ICGA office by calling 309-557-3257 and are due in the state office no later than September 1.

If you are looking for an opportunity to enhance the profitability of corn farmers, to make new contacts, develop a strong sense of personal mission, and add to committee and board experience, we encourage you to seek election.  The board does not pay a per diem, but travel, lodging and meeting expenses are reimbursed.

At-large directors are elected at the annual meeting which will be held on November 20, 2018, at the Marriott Hotel in Normal.  Each candidate is permitted time to make a short presentation to the ICGA members present indicating their reasons for seeking election.
