Senate Ag Committee Releases Farm Bill Draft

By Lyndi Allen July 2, 2026

Chairman John Boozman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry released a Farm Bill discussion draft on June 23, 2026.

"We appreciate Chairman Boozman's work to move the farm bill forward in the Senate. Illinois corn farmers need a bipartisan bill that makes USDA programs stronger and more responsive — and we're going to keep advocating for elected officials to get it done,” said IL Corn Growers Association President and Macon County farmer, Mark Bunselmeyer.

IL Corn continues to advocate for a strong Farm Bill that reflects the priorities of Illinois farmers. As July begins, our priorities remain focused on action to the Farm Bill, the Senate passage of year-round nationwide E15, and renewal of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
